Congressman Randy Forbes | |  | | | | In June, I asked whether you supported the actions taken by the Administration in response to the thousands of youth crossing the border, and 92% of respondents said no.
Since then, children and adults have continued to flood across our southern border. Now, the President has requested $3.7 billion to address the surge, and the Administration is planning to expand the number of people granted relief from deportation and grant refugee status to people from Honduras before they even come to the United States.
I continue to oppose all forms of amnesty, and I believe that entry into this country is a privilege, not a right.

Congressman Vows to Investigate Google Search Issue for America After nearly three weeks of waiting for a solution to Google's misleading search results for America, Republican Congressman Dana Rohrabacher has promised to investigate the issue. "This level of inefficiency on the part of Google is not their norm," he said. "It's been established that if they have a problem, they fix it. This should have been fixed in a matter of hours. These guys are pros." Many commentators have speculated that Google was intentionally misleading its users because of the company's political leanings. "If there was an intent to confuse the public about this movie because of its ideological content, then we're going to find out about it," Rohrabacher said. Read more here. 
Costco Customers Snatching Up America As new shipments are arriving with Dinesh D'Souza's latest book, America: Imagine the World Without Her, Costco customers are snatching up copies as quickly as they can. America Book Will Hit #2 on New York Times Best Seller List! 
For the week of July 27, Dinesh D'Souza's America: Imagine A World Without Her will appear on the New York Times best seller list at #2 in all three major categories (hardcover, eBooks, and combined hardcover and eBooks). This comes after several weeks where Dinesh's book was omitted from the New York Times list, despite outselling several titles that made the New York Times Top 10. Dinesh commented that "it's their newspaper and they have a right to rig their list any way they want, but if they are doing it, people should know." We want to thank all of you who found out about the omission and made your voice heard by purchasing and talking about America. It was the support of average Americans that made the New York Times recognize the book, much like the outcry from average Americans helped reverse Costco's decision to pull America from its shelves. Jon Voight Urges Viewers to See America Jon Voight appeared on FOX News this weekend to talk about the future of our country. He urged audiences to go to the theater and see Dinesh D'Souza's latest film, America, and discussed the American people's many grievances against the Obama administration. "I'm here because of my heavy heart," Voight said, "that a great man, Dinesh D'Souza . . . is being aggressively, negatively targeted in many ways, and the latest targeting is the boycotting of the great important book America: Imagine A World Without Her, and his film is based on this book. | Forbes Announces Job Fairs in Chesapeake and Chesterfield |
Washington, D.C. - Congressman J. Randy Forbes (VA-04) announced today that he is hosting two job fairs in the Fourth District this summer. The job fairs, held in Chesterfield at Lloyd C. Bird High School and in Chesapeake at Greenbrier Middle School, are free and open to all constituents who are interested in learning about available jobs with area businesses.
"A job is more than a means to a pay check," said Forbes. "A job is hope for a future that is better than today. It's dignity. It's an opportunity to better your life and the life of your family. My hope is that the job fairs this summer will serve as a catalyst for employers and potential employees to form constructive working relationships and to learn about jobs and opportunities available in the Fourth Congressional District."
In addition to meeting with area businesses, attendees will have the opportunity to meet with experts on resume writing, interviewing, and job searching.
