Dear Virginia, As 2011 draws to a close, the holidays bring a treasured chance to welcome the spirit of joy and peace.  Surrounded by family and loved ones, we pause to give thanks for all of our blessings and cherish these happy days that warm our homes and fill our hearts. Let us also remember this holiday season the many men and women serving our country overseas. We think of those far from home and of their families, who are even more aware today of their long absence. They should know we support them and pray for them -- ever mindful of their sacrifice and thankful for their service.
