D'Souza Speaks About America at CPAC Dinesh D'Souza appeared at CPAC 2014 last Friday to speak about his film and his vision for America. He said that America is currently experiencing a "crisis of leadership" and faces new challenges around the globe, from the rising tide of Islamic terrorism and an ascendant Russia seeking to rebuild an empire. Dinesh ended his speech with a call to stand up for liberty: "Alexander Hamilton says that 'this is a country that is unique because it is based on reflection and choice.' For us as Americans, decline is a choice, but so is liberty. So let us resolve, right here, right now, that liberty is our choice." Read more here. Dinesh D'Souza & Gerald Molen on The Kelly File Dinesh D'Souza and producer Gerald Molen joined Megyn Kelly Monday night on The Kelly File to discuss their new film America. The film's new trailer made its television debut on the show, and the two filmmakers discussed the importance of the film at a time when criticisms of America have become a mainstream phenomenon. D'Souza discussed his experiences as an immigrant to the United States, and said that he "chose America because it's a place where I can be the architect of my own life." He said that he would focus on expanding the Republican Party's base by reaching out to people long ignored by the government and younger, more libertarian-leaning voters.
