September 19, 2014 Dear Friends, This week, we celebrated the 200th anniversary of The Star-Spangled Banner. Our flag honors those who have fought to protect it and is a reminder of the sacrifice of our nation's founders and heroes. The Stars and Stripes represents the very best of this nation. Check out this amazing rendition of the song by Madison Rising, featured at the close of America the movie. And speaking of America, we just started accepting pre-orders for multi-packs of America and 2016 DVDs and bulk purchases of America DVDs! These packs are the perfect way to give the gift of information to family members and friends! Pre-order a copy for yourself today and copies for those you love. All orders will be delivered on or before the national day of release, October 28! On Wednesday night, I spoke to 500 liberty-loving Californians at a 405/605 Tea Party Patriots event. I'm excited to get to speak to local groups like this around the country every month and promote the values that our country was founded upon. To get the latest info about my travel schedule, follow me on Twitter. I was saddened to read this week that James Foley's mother was treated as an "annoyance" by the Obama administration during her efforts to free her son before he was beheaded by ISIS. I don't believe in paying ransom, but is this any way to treat fellow Americans? I guess that's life in Obama's America: government officials threaten to prosecute American families for trying to save their loved ones. In a revealing tell-all interview with The New Republic this week, I revealed what I learned (and didn't learn) from Michael Moore, and I explain how I developed as a write and a filmmaker.
