JUDGE SAYS "NO" TO PROSECUTION 
September 26, 2014 Dear Friends, The federal government was trying to lock me up for between 10 and 16 months, and a federal judge said "no" this week. I was sentenced to 5 years probation along with a fine and community service. I'm excited that the judge's fair ruling will allow me to continue my work. If the government had succeeded in locking me up, I wouldn't have been able to make a film in the next presidential election year. I am so thankful to my lawyer Ben Brafman, to Judge Berman, to an incredible group of close friends and family, and to you, my countless readers and viewers who have prayed for me, sent me messages of support, and been a huge part of the last year for me. Since the judge's sentence, reactions have been coming in from all sides. Harvard professor Alan Dershowitz and David Mason (Clinton FEC appointee) told Newsmax I should never have been prosecuted in the first place.
