instaPoll: Do you support ongoing congressional investigations of Solyndra?

Congressman Randy Forbes

Recent revelations have brought to light the financial failure of a "green" company, Solyndra, which was the first renewable-energy company to receive a loan guarantee under the Administration's American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, otherwise known as the "stimulus" program. The President visited the company's Silicon Valley headquarters last year, and the Vice President spoke by satellite at its groundbreaking ceremony.  Since then, the company's financial implosion and revelations that the Administration hurried Office of Management and Budget officials to finish their review of the loan in time for the September 2009 groundbreaking have become the subject of both criminal and congressional investigations.  Despite outcry from taxpayers and Members of Congress, top Solyndra executives pleaded the Fifth Amendment more than a dozen times on Friday in a congressional hearing meant to hold the company accountable for wasting a half billion dollars in government loans.
