Conference Focus
Based on your input, this conference will be organized around
·         Developing effective strategies for working on district, state, national issues;
·         Building infrastructure;
·         Best practices in journalism and broadcasting;
·         Speaking in public and working with the media.
General Session & Breakout Session Tracks
The Conference program is designed around three tracks. Each track has two parts.  Part A will be offered Friday morning and afternoon.  Part B will be on Saturday morning and afternoon.  When you register, you will select which tracks you’d like to participate in each day.  The conference is organized around the informative or “best practices” section of each track.
Track 1: District (A) / State (B) – The type of congressional district covered by a Tea Party group changes the priorities, tools and deployment of assets in that group. Using state coordinators from diverse regions, classes tailored to red, blue and purple states and types of districts within that state are available. This track focuses on what assets are most valuable in those areas as well as how to develop and deploy those assets.
Track 2:  Group Infrastructure (A) / Journalism and Broadcasting (B) –Infrastructure on all levels is a task unto itself. From the local group perspective, steering committees and media representatives have requested help defining roles to maximize output and minimize friction. TPP National has tools available to complement local efforts,  as well as a budding communication/promotion tool in grassroots radio which will also have specialized training.
Track 3:  Media (A) / Public Speaking(B)– Public speaking and representation of a group is a specialized skill which is judged on several factors. Most important are presentation, style and substance. Classes on speechwriting, public speaking and media presentation are available from the Leadership Institute for coordinators who can commit to regular speaking engagements in their region.
General Session (Saturday Afternoon)
There will be a General Session late Saturday afternoon; seating is open to all.
2012 Congressional Elections: A presentation on the 2012 Congressional elections, centered on the emerging dynamics of the election landscape.
National Action Plan: An overview of the programs offered by TPP national and developing a local coordinator manual dedicated to increasing efficiency and reducing friction.
Regional Breakouts: Regional states usually share geographical and political issues. Grouping states together for breakout discussions can foster a tailored best practices resource and targeted networking session. States are grouped using a blend of geography, physical size and political orientation.
The General Session will be videotaped and available on the TPP website after the conference is concluded.
