In this week's installment:

Mitt Romney's White House Day One
In a new TV ad from the Romney Campaign, Governor Mitt Romney lays out his plans for his first day in office in the White House: approving the Obama-stalled Keystone pipeline, introducing tax cuts for America's job creators, and beginning the process to repeal and replace ObamaCare.  (Justin Sink, "Romney Unveils Debut General-Election TV Ad," The Hill, 5/18/2012)

Stand Up For Free Markets!
The economic situation in Obama's America has gotten so bad that even the President's own allies can't help but point out the obvious -- that Barack Obama's anti-free market policies are to blame.  Over the weekend, Cory Booker, the Democrat Mayor of Newark, New Jersey, spoke out about being "uncomfortable" with the president's attacks on the free market, even going so far as to call them "ridiculous." Now, the Obama Campaign is out to silence him.  Let Mayor Booker know you agree with him!  Sign the "I Stand With Cory" Petition today!

Anti-Coal Agenda
"Vice President Biden is in Ohio coal country today. Yes, the same Biden who said in 2008, 'We're not supporting clean coal,' and 'No coal plants here in America!' Who even called coal a threat more dangerous than terrorism.  Coal country isn't Obama country and for good reason. If Obama and Biden get a second term, anti-coal Cap-and-Trade will be at the top of their 2013 agenda."  (Reince Priebus, "Priebus: Anti-Coal Biden Mines for Votes in Coal Country," Hot Air, 5/17/2012)

Biden's Rebuttal?
Joe Biden isn't surprised that more than 40% of West Virginia Democrats voted for a convicted felon over his boss in the state's recent primary -- but, of course, it's all George W. Bush's fault...  (Daniel Doherty, "Biden: I Don't 'Blame People' For Voting For West Virginia Felon," Townhall, 5/18/2012)

Megalomania
"The White House website has always featured biographies of past presidents. Now, however, President Obama has decided that those other presidential biographies weren't complete without a sentence about him. Seriously. As it turns out, all past presidents are just a window into President Obama's grand accomplishments." (Ben Shapiro, "Obama Inserts Himself In White House Bios of Past Presidents," Breitbart, 5/15/2012)

"Hands-Off"
"A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 64% of Likely U.S. Voters prefer a government with fewer services and lower taxes over one with more services and higher taxes."
(Poll Results, "America's Best Days: 64% Prefer a Government With Fewer Services and Lower Taxes," Rasmussen Reports, 5/20/2012)

513-0
"President Obama's budget suffered a second embarrassing defeat Wednesday, when Senators voted 99-0 to reject it.  Coupled with the House's rejection in March, 414-0, that means Mr. Obama's budget has failed to win a single vote in support this year."  (Stephen Dinan, "Obama Budget Defeated 99-0 in Senate," Washington Times, 5/16/2012)

Not What They Hoped For
Wisconsin leftists' faltering effort to unseat Republican Governor Scott Walker and reverse his much-needed reforms results in pessimism and squabbling for Democrats on a national scale.  (Christian Schneider, "Dems in Despair on Wisconsin," New York Post, 5/16/2012)

Dems Getting Nervous
"It has taken months of bad news, but Democrats increasingly believe that President Obama might just lose his re-election bid.  The latest wake-up call comes in the form of a New York Times/CBS poll showing Republican Mitt Romney in the lead not just among registered voters overall, but with women and independents."  (Chris Stirewalt, "Alarm Grows Among Dems About Obama's Chances," Fox News, 5/15/2012)

Hypocritical Campaign
"Maybe the Obama re-election campaign isn't the error-free juggernaut of media lore. Consider the puzzling decision to start trashing Mitt Romney's record at Bain Capital on the same day that President Obama was hitting up private-equity grandees for campaign contributions. Did David Plouffe think no one would notice?"  (Editorial, "Obama's 'Vampire' Capitalists: Write the President a Check and Escape Eternal Damnation," Wall Street Journal, 5/15/2012)

Tackling Taxes
Speaker John Boehner recently announced that House Republicans would try to attach a timeline to fast-track a broad tax overhaul to a vote extending the George W. Bush-era tax rates before the November elections.  (Russell Berman & Bernie Becker, "GOP Plans Fast Track For Tax Overhaul," The Hill, 5/15/2012)
